Damen Barge for Rent

DES has for rent a modular barge. The barge consists of six, 40' x 8' x 8' pontoons, built in steel to standard design. The barge consists of 40 foot modules, specially shaped, which can be coupled together in the water with a specially designed coupling system. With this modular system the entire barge can be transported by sea, truck or train to her final place of destination and assembled locally.

Principal dimensions of the assembled barge:

total length = 24.30 m (80 ft)

beam = 7.30 m (24 ft)

depth at side (at half length) = 2.40 m (8 ft)

displacement (empty) = 0.38 m (1.25 ft)

displacement @ 125 tons = 0.73 m (2.4 ft)

displacement with full ballast tanks (6x15 tons) = 1.20 m (4 ft)

The deck is designed in such a way suitable for a deck load of 6.8 tons/m².
